4th Quarterly Meeting: Clann Mhor at JMRL

The Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society hosted its Fourth Quarterly Meeting at the Jefferson Madison Regional Library on Sunday, December 12 at 2pm.
A local non-profit group, Clann Mhór, presented their research on the Blue Ridge Railroad. Currently, Clann Mhór is documenting the more than 1,900 Irish workers and their families and more than 50 African-American slaves who labored for ten years on the thirty mile long Blue Ridge Railroad from Ivy to Staunton, Virginia. Mary Lyons, Kevin Donleavy and Dan Burke presented their ongoing research and discoveries.
