Hatton Ferry Operation Season Opens on April 17, 2010


Location: Scottsville, VA

Date: Depending on Water Level, Open Saturdays 9am-5pm and Sundays 12pm-5pm

Cost: Donations suggested


With a final agreement in place between the County of Albemarle and more importantly the Virginia Department of Transportation, the Society was able to resume, on schedule, the operation of the Hatton Ferry on Saturday, April 17. Business was steady the first two days as we trained a new crew to operate the ferry this season. The Ferry will operate during the 2010 season from 9-5 on Saturday and Noon-5 on Sundays. The ferry may also be operated by special appointment on other days. The Ferry will run through mid-October. To help fund the operation, donations are requested for transport.
