On Friday, February 4th, the Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society will be hosting a First Fridays event in the McIntire Building.

Local columnist Phil James will be celebrating and signing his recently released book, Secrets of the Blue Ridge: Stories from Western Albemarle. This compendium of columns by the popular Crozet Gazette author focuses on tales of Western Albemarle's past, including architecture and town planning, local commerce, ecological history, and famous occurrences and tragedies from Western Albemarle's history.

This event, free and open to the public, will take place from 5:30pm-7:00pm at the McIntire Building, 200 Second Street NE, Charlottesville. Refreshments will be served.
