An Evening with William Faulkner

The first in a series of "An Evening with...!" On Feburary 27, 2009 at 7pm ACHS will host An Evening with William Faulkner, featuring elegant hors d'oeuvres, spirits, and a very special guest: Mr. William Faulkner. Along with a speech by Mr. Faulkner, you will be treated to lectures by Faulknerian experts, on topics such as Faulknerian architecture and the connection between Faulkner and film. As a writer-in-residence at the University of Virginia, Faulkner had a significant tie to Charlottesville and its environs. This event, as well as others in the series of "An Evening with...", will be a fundraiser for ACHS to support its operation as a cultural stronghold for local history. So dust off your fedora, put on your pearls, and join us for this elegant evening!
