Quarterly Meetings of the Society
Historical Society meetings are always free and open to the general public. Information is posted on the website, in the Bulletin, in press releases to local media, and in mailings to Society members.
The meetings are often held in historic homes, buildings, and places, and usually feature a guest speaker on a topic of historical interest. Good food, good friends, good time.
If you have a suggestion for a good site for an upcoming meeting, please contact us at
info@albemarlehistory.org, and we'll pass your suggestion along to the program committee.
The Society generally foots the bill for rented tables and chairs, sometimes tents and portajohns, gas money for the speaker, food asd refreshments, and other expenses. We happily acknowledge businesses and individuals that help us defray the costs. If your organization would like to sponsor one of our meetings, please contact us.
The next quarterly meeting is June 22nd, 2008 at the Glendower Christ Church in Scottsville. More information will be posted at a later date.
