Biographical/Historical Information:
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee began in 2014 as a volunteer advisory group to the Charlottesville City Council, the Planning Commission, Staff, and Citizens. The BPAC promotes biking and walking in the city by hosting walking tours aimed at promoting the active, social, and educational exploration of Charlottesville.
The Neighborhood Walks were researched and written by members of the Historic Resources Committee for the City of Charlottesville.
Scope and Content: This collection consists of the neighborhood walks conducted by the BPAC. Each walk has a historical overview and timeline of the area, along with photographs and maps.
