Biographical/Historical Information: Richard Durette (1745-1815) lived at "Wakefield" in near Earlysville in Albemarle County, Virginia. He was the son of Col. Richard Durette and Abigail Terrell. He married Elizabeth Davis (1753-1815).

Scope and Content: This is a collection of genealogical materials pertaining to Richard Durette (1745-1815). It includes a photocopy of the estate inventory of James Huckstep (1824), a photocopy of the land survey for Charles Huckstep (1793), and a photocopy of the marriage record of Isaac Norford and Elizabeth Madison (1814). Included in the collection is also a poem, "The Carver Sisters," written by Mrs. J. Rawlings Thomson.
