Biographical/Historical Information: Dr. James Minor (1785-1828) of Sunning Hill, Louisa County, Virginia, was the son of Maj. Garrett Lewis Minor and Mary Overton. He married Mary Minor in 1813 and was the father of Maria Louisa (Magruder), Virginia (Rawlings), and Julia Ann (Holladay).

Scope and Content: This is a photocopy of the family records from the James Minor bible. Family surnames include Johnston, Minor, Randolph, Rawlings, and Thomson. Many of the events take place in Charlottesville, Virginia. There is also a transcription of the records. Original bible was deposited at the Library of Virginia.
