Biographical/Historical Information: The 116th Infantry Regiment was formed under the designation of the 116th during World War I and was demobilized upon its return in 1919. It was then reformed in 1922 and called into federal service before American entry into World War II in March of 1941.
Scope and Content: This scrapbook contains news-clippings from 1941-1944 about local and national events including sports, the 116th Infantry Regiment of the Virginia National Guard, government, and Miss Charlottesville.
