Biographical/Historical Information: McIntire High School opened in Fall 1937 for Albemarle County's white public school students. It housed grades 1st through high school until 1953, when the consolidated Albemarle High School opened. McIntire then became an elementary school with grades 1st through 7th. The school closed in the 1970s.

Scope and Content: This collection consists of folders from individual donors of materials from McIntire High School.

Arrangement: Folder 1: Richard and Hugh Scott: Includes a 1947 4H class photograph; a 1997 class reunion photograph; student cards with messages to Richard Scott; 1948 commencement announcement; 1948 baccalaureate services; 1948 McChalva Supplement. (McChalva yearbooks from donor 1944, 1946, 1947, 1948, and 1949 located in yearbook collection)
