Biographical/Historical Information: Robert Burch (1936-2020) was born in Charlottesville, Va. to John Robert Burch and Virginia Foster Mawyer. He graduated the Miller School. He attended the University of Virginia but left to join the U.S. Navy in 1956. After his discharge he studied at Florida State University. He had a career as an investigator for federal agencies.

Scope and Content: This is a collection of two short essays written by Robert Burch about Pugh's Store in Midway and the Midway School. Also included are two photographs of the Midway School.
