Description: Crozet High School began in 1894 in a one-room frame building. In 1899 the school moved into a new building on St. George Avenue. Due to increased enrollment, a new school building was constructed in 1907. By the 1920s another facility was needed and construction began in 1923 on a new high school building. It opened to students on September 18, 1924. It became an elementary school when Albemarle High School opened in 1953.
