Biographical/Historical Information: The Parks family came to Albemarle County from Orange County, Virginia around 1749.
Scope and Content: This is an unbound photocopy of the typescript The Ancestors of James M. Hogue, Supplement No. 2, The Parks Ancestors by Earl F. Arnett, 1984. It contains genealogical material relating to the Parks (Park, Parks, and Parke) family who migrated from England to Virginia in 1728, and then to North Carolina in 1767. The family subsequently went to Indiana in 1815 and Texas in 1848. Ancillary material concerns James M. Hogue (1847 - 1875) and extracts from The Diary of Robert Rose (1977).
