Biographical/Historical Information: William S. Mace (1915-1988) was born in Charlotteville, Virginia. He attended the Miller School in Albemarle County, Virginia and graduated in 1934. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and was commissioned as a bombardier-navigator. He was assigned to the 8th Air Force during World War Two. Lieutenant Colonel Mace retired from the Air Force in 1971.
Scope and Content: This collection contains photocopied biographical material concerning William S. Mace (1915-1988) compiled by Mrs. Clara Hamlett Robertson for her publication Keys to the History of Miller School, 1878-1979. Included is a seven-page autobiography, undated.
